When I was going into the second grade (in Chicago),
the incoming students had a list of supplies they needed to bring to the first
day: paper, pencils, glue... and "liquid crayons." I was excited about those.
I had no idea what they were, but I imagined blending, pouring swirling,
stuff.
I was horribly disappointed when it turned out they were just magic markers. The liquid crayon term has since pretty much fallen into complete disuse. |
